About EnergiCore Digital
A Kuala Lumpur practice built for the awkward middle ground between product analytics and finance recognition of subscription revenue.
Origin
EnergiCore Digital began when two working patterns kept colliding in Malaysian subscription businesses: product teams reading event-based “active” counts, and finance teams booking recognised revenue that refused to match. We formed a practice that sits between those rooms — not as a software vendor, but as auditors and analysts who can read both ledgers and event tables.
Our base at Level 8, 72 Jalan Ampang puts us near the finance and product teams we serve across Kuala Lumpur, with remote delivery for ASEAN-wide products.
What we believe
Subscription numbers only help when definitions survive a sceptical second reader. We favour worksheets you can reopen over slides that age poorly. We name uncertainty instead of polishing it away.
Working approach
- Scoping first — months, systems, and the decision the work must support.
- Source over screenshots — exports and warehouse views, not dashboard photos.
- Shared language — every finding maps to a product owner and a finance owner.
- Leave the method — clients keep the joins and definitions after we close.
People
Engagements are led by practitioners with backgrounds in subscription finance operations and product analytics — people who have closed month-end packs and rebuilt cohort tables after messy plan migrations. We keep the team small so the same people who scoped the work also present the findings.
Community and place
We work primarily with Malaysia-based and ASEAN-facing subscription products: media, learning, software utilities, and membership apps. When on-site days help, we host desk sessions near Ampang or travel to your office.
Credentials, honestly
We do not issue statutory audit opinions. Our financial audit applications are management-facing examinations of subscription revenue performance — useful for internal governance, lender conversations, and board packs, but distinct from licensed assurance engagements.
